Our Story
My 25 years experience in pharmaceutics and pharmacy since graduating from the University of Bath has been gained right across UK and Australia. Being a member of the Italian Society of Hair Science and Hair restoration led me to specialize in hair loss with formulating pharmaceuticals to treat it.
The vision began 33,000 feet high up on a flight back to London.
During that flight, I had observed the crown of a few gentlemen and women who had thinning hair. I felt that there was no specialist hair loss clinic that offered more patients face to face, straightforward, bespoke topical treatments for hair loss without the need of complicated ‘packaged’ treatment plans that were sales oriented.
About Us
I was concerned that people getting these medical products online deserved their scalp to be seen by clinicians, they deserved being asked a full medical history and they deserved being made aware that not everyone can use these medications as it depends on ones medical history and type of hair loss.
I felt there is a lack of awareness amongst people that having a hair transplant is never the first and only treatment for hair loss. Patients need to seek treatment for hair loss at the earliest possible time and importantly, hair regrowth medication is still required after hair transplantation to prevent them shrinking.
There began the vision that eventually led me to set up The Hairology Centre where our hair loss specialists prescribe hair loss treatments for you that are straightforward, bespoke to you with formulations that are unique to our clinic and where the patient’s health comes first. I wanted patients to be able to pick up the phone and speak to someone about it.
Products
For your treatment, our products contain High strength Minoxidil and Finasteride, two products to treat hair loss licensed by MHRA and FDA, the regulatory bodies in the UK and USA respectively.
We can tell you that our various formulated treatments include topical Minoxidil as the main element. Caffeine is one of the additional components found in formulations that research has shown to reduce the unwanted impact of shrinking of the hair follicle.
Current regulations prohibit the advertisement directed at the general public of prescription only medicines. As we formulate our specialist prescription only medicines for hair loss, we cannot publicise our medicines with their additional components
